NASK stands for Narodowa Akademicka Sieć Komputerowa (National Academic Digital Network) is a semi-public entity dedicated to digital security. The challenge was to fit a big surface into a narrow, long plot joining two streets by Powązki cemetery. The limitations imposed by heritage protection regulations enabled a 4 storey structure, so the only way to achieve the goal of generating more usable floor was to propose big cantilevered parts from the side of adjacent Academy of Fine Arts building. The legal limitations didn’t make possible for us to make photographs of the interiors with it’s most interesting feature- a set of internal patios bringing light into the deep plan of the building.
