Maritza river in Plovdiv has become the main subject of intrest of the organizers of the festival.

The city seems to hardly accept the presence of the semi-regulated river with high fluctuations of water levels- even the so-called boulevards have no connection with the riverbed, no lower platforms, no infrastructure, as if the inhabitants were only encouraged to walk along the river without really interacting with it. This is why I have proposed a playful object that serves as a ladder cum stairs linking the very boulevards with the riverbed. A simple steel frame holds a vortex-alike net that enables kids and willing adults to go down and up and down again, if they wish to discover a level of the city otherwise untouchable and deprived of any positive meaning.
